deeper details about the position. Obviously White has a material advantage,
but this won't convert into a full point by itself, therefore it is important
to understand the needs of the position. White's main trump is the passed
a-pawn, because 3P vs. 2P on the kingside don't play a big role (most endgames
with 3P vs 2P on the same side are drawn). So White would like to advance the
a-pawn. However, Black can place the rook on a3, after which the advance of
the a-pawn will be more difficult. But after Ra3 White will have the double
attack Bb4, which, however, doesn't achieve much as long as Black has a check
on a1. So for the moment White prevents the check on the back rank. Moreover,
